Love and the smell of peonies!
Megan loves peonies.
And not only peonies, she has a passion for locally grown flowers in all their abundance and beauty. She is the most caring full-time nurse who cultivates flowers on a small plot in a community garden. Her vision for her wedding was to gather all the most beautiful blossoms of May to create lush arrangements that had a classic garden feel. She chose Sparrow Lane as the venue and its simple yet elegant white interior provided the perfect backdrop for the flowers and their love story.
From small community garden plot to lush and romantic
Some of the flowers included in her wedding, she cared for months in her little community garden plot. Carefully she tended them as she awaited the day of their marriage. We took these flowers and combined them with all the best from our cutting garden, blossoms for other local farms, and a few delicate beauties from abroad. She wanted pinks, and soft yellows, blues, and lavenders, plum and plenty of soft whites and ivories. The result could not have been more stunning! And the smell of peonies and roses filled the chapel and reception hall. If you closed your eyes, the smell of peonies and roses would have you believe that you were in an English garden and when you opened your eyes the reality was the same. An archway bursting to life and flowers filling the room.
Couple's table fitting for the truest of loves
Megan wanted something truly magical for the couple's table. She wanted a statement piece that was classic and garden-inspired yet unique and different from what she had seen in the past. So I dreamt up a table that would have a classic lush runner down the center yet instead of falling over the sides, the flowes would fall over the front of the tablet be better viewed and would become the statement piece she desired.. The table was the perfect setting for the truest of loves!
